Olivia Lee Dirty Sexy Funny Series 2

Finally Olivia Lee is back on our screens, with Dirty Sexy Funny Series 2 which started on the 28th March 2011 on Comedy Central. The original series was aired in April 2010 and was a huge success with viewers and it gained Olivia Lee an even bigger following of fans and admirers.

Oliva first gained mainstream awareness when she appeared on the Channel 4 program ‘Balls of steel’ where she notoriously interviewed A list celebrities who were oblivious that she was doing it with a dildo shaped microphone (see clip here)

The second episode was shown last night and for me personally, it was the funniest one I have seen so far from both series. Some of the characters from the original series feature in the new series, such as Miss Single and OCD Lady but series 2 boasts some hilarious new characters such as Jewish granny ‘deaf bubba’ and ‘Adopt a pony’ which are 2 of my favourites.

Olivia has been likened to a ‘Female Dom Joly’ but I think  her characters are superior to Dom’s (sorry Dom !) as her characters are so unique and cringeworthy to watch, you can’t help but feel sorry for the people who get caught up in her antics. Another thing which is admirable about Olivia is her personal confidence in her characters and the way in which she really gets stuck into the situation even in the most awkward one on one situations (Miss Single for example)

Garlic Bread is NOT the future anymore !

Yes that is right – comedy genius Peter Kay was WRONG !

The future….is the INTERNET !!!! what a revelation eh ? well no, not really.

Except there are still millions of people who do not realise how powerful, fast growing and important the internet really is, and how much it is changing the way we function as human beings, in numerous ways.

At least once a week, I observe someone who matches the above statement - usually when they are casually enquiring about what I do for a living. This usually stems from one or all of the following reasons – I drive a flash car and so does my wife, I do what I want – when I want, I take and pick up my kids from school, I regularly sit in Starbucks with friends and my wife, I go to the gym when I like, I go shopping when I like, I attend all the school activities in which my kids are involved with, BUT I don’t appear to be employed in the mind’s of the usual 9-5ers who don’t have a clue how I am able to do all this.

Let me give you two examples which an average Joe Bloggs can relate to.

1. 98% of all Music singles are now bought online (source). Prior to 2004, you were not able to legally download or purchase any music online, and yet just 6 years later it accounts for over 98% of all the music singles bought in the UK.

2. Amazon have reported that for the first time ever, Ebooks are now outselling traditional paperbacks and hardbacks (source)

Still think the internet isn’t growing at an alarming rate ?

An interesting book I have read recently  is ‘Get out while you can’ link here which was written by George Marshall who like myself, makes a full time living from the internet in various ways. I feel the book offers a good insight to what can be achieved online, and also gives you ideas on how to get started yourself with very little money.

A few people who know me quite well, know how little money I started with myself when I first took the leap to work fulltime online with a wife and three kids to support. That figure was £100 - but if you want to find out more, you will have to wait until I release my own book in the near future

The majority of people who read this post will already be involved online in some shape or form, but I am sure you know people just like I do, who do not realise the internet and it’s potential and abilities – if that’s the case then just send them a link to this post.

In 2010 I received approx 30 emails / requests for me to review certain products / items etc on my blog. The emails I received were generally asking if the person / company could send me their product and I write a review on my blog, giving my opinion and obviously linking to the product on their website.

I have always declined these offers, as I am very busy and also didn’t want to be seen as providing a 100% positive review of a product JUST because it had been sent to me.

I understand how a review on an established blog / website can help with awareness, traffic and website rankings, and this is obviously very important – especially to new websites and companies who haven’t got much of a budget.

So in 2011, I have decided to provide a frank and honest review on this blog for ANY product that is offered to me – well almost any product ie no viagra etc, although viagra could be fun

Katy Perry No Makeup

I am sure this will make many women around the world smile, as it shows that even celebrities look normal when not in front of the cameras and have no makeup on !

Katy Perry’s husband (The BRILLIANT Russell Brand) tweeted a picture of his lovely wife Katy Perry with no makeup !

It was sharply removed from his Twitter posts, and no comment has been made since ! I am sure that Katy wasn’t too happy with him posting this picture of herself, but I am sure that his 1.8m followers (especially the female ones) appreciated the revelation

Google Instant – Is this the end of SEO ?

In a word – NO

If you are reading this post, then you are obviously aware of the huge change that Google announced yesterday – Google Instant (link here to the live release)

Over the last 24 hours, I have witnessed so many tweets, forums posts, and blog posts already speculating what ‘Google instant’ means for them, and their websites.

I have to be totally honest, when I first saw it, I thought “Shit! SEO is dead” but the more I am playing with it and thinking about the whole setup, I am actually realising that it has some major Pros and is not just some Cons.

The 2 main points / statements I have witnessed over the last 24 hours are:

“Oh this is ok, it is only temporary”

It is NOT temporary and it is here to stay, so the sooner you embrace it and accept it, the better – denial gets you nowhere.

 “It’s ok as this can be switched off easy enough”

Yes that is right, it can. BUT average Joe won’t switch it off as:

1. They won’t know how to. The majority of average Joe’s, don’t even know how to change their homepage. Are you targeting other SEO savvy people OR average Joe with your website?

2. They don’t care enough for it to matter, as long as they find what they are looking for

It isn’t all doom and gloom though yet. Let me just point out a couple of things though to hopefully put your mind at rest.

SEO’s and other people who are reading this post are not thinking like average Joe’s either – they have a tarnished view of how they “think” average Joe’s search the internet.

Let me give you an example.

Fred is looking for “secured loans” He starts typing sec (and on his screen it is already displaying results – but these are not related to secured loans yet)

He then adds the u (so he has now typed secu) and now it is showing drastically different results, but still not related to secured loans.

He then adds the r (so he has now typed secur) and yet again the results have changed again, but STILL not showing results for secured loans.

He then adds the e (he has now typed secure) and sure enough, the results for secured loans are now showing.

So Fred stops there and clicks one of the search results, right ? WRONG ! WE know that Google has been showing different results for every additional letter that Fred types, but Fred hasn’t seen them or noticed, as he is an average internet / keyboard user.  When most people type (over 95% in my opinion) they look at the keyboard when typing and NOT the screen.

Do you truly believe that Fred is going to type one letter at a time, and then look at the screen after each letter, and keep typing additional letters until his results show up ? No he isn’t – Fred will just type what he is looking for “secured loans” and then look up at his screen to see the results.

SEO’s seem to give average joe’s alot more credit than they are actual due – they are not SEO savvy and do not care about search results order – you do !

And for that reason, I will only start to worry about Google Instant, when Google start giving out free touch type lessons to every member of the general public.

I will be writing a better blog post in a short while, once the dust has settled and Google instant has been around for a while, so check back for another update soon.

Kelly Brook Playboy Pics

I have been a Kelly Brook fan since a teenager, and had her posters plastered on my walls from her early Max Power photo shoots. I then remember her getting her big break in the Daily Star when I was around 18 and her becoming a Page 3 girl. I have always liked Kelly as she is a real woman with real curves and real boobs, and not a stick think catwalk model who lives on a diet of lettuce and a grain of rice a day.

Fast forward another 10-12 years and I read the grabbing headline (plastered all over the newspapers and the Internet) “Kelly Brook Playboy Pics” which was scheduled to be published in the September 2010 issue of playboy, I was quite excited and wondered what these pictures would be all about, especially as it was rumoured that she was paid $500,000 (£365,000) for the photo shoot, and it also ended her recently formed contract with Ultimo in the process.

So the new issue of Playboy hit the stands and I have seen the pictures for myself, and I am slightly disappointed on a few levels.

1. She is NOT nude – she IS topless. She has posed topless for a series of approx 8-10 pictures and while she looks great and the pictures are very artistic, I cannot help but feel some false advertising and media hype has spiralled this to be something it isn’t

2. I obviously do not know the full reasons for the Kelly Brook Playboy Pics or why she chose to end her contract with Ultimo early, but I personally think she has made a big mistake for numerous reasons. Ultimo is a very well known British brand which was created by another person who I admire (partly different reasons though) Michelle Mone OBE, and represents real women with real curves and bigger boobs.

 After seeing Kelly’s pictures and video on the Ultimo website (link here) I cannot help but feel she would have been better off sticking with Ultimo for the long term, especially as Michelle Mone has just launched what she calls “The most Comfortable Advanced Technical bra in the World” and which has been named ”Icon” and has been over 2 years in the creation with over 6 figures invested into the creation of this new bra.

Maybe I am wrong, and one of the only men who thinks Kelly should have stuck with modelling Ultimo underwear for the next 2 years, instead of selling out (again in my opinion) to Playboy.

Maybe I am biased due to my obvious connections in the online Underwear market, and it would have been great to be updating our underwear website with pictures of Kelly Brook in Ultimo underwear for the next 2 years !

I am sure Michelle will find someone to replace her in the next few months, and I for one cannot wait to see who it will be ! PS – Can’t wait to see Michelle’s own “real women” pictures which she is having done tommorow

I finally bought a pair of iPads

After much debate about the vanity issue surrounding iPads, I finally gave in and bought a pair of them today

As alot of you already know, I love magic and am a practising amateur magician and I have been working on this new trick, where I can predict your favourite movie by a simple maths test – which I have laid out below.

There is a list of 20 movies listed below, and by answering the 5 questions correctly, it will identify the film which you would enjoy the most.

1. Think of a number between 1 and 9
2. Multiply that number by 3
3. Add 3 to that new number
4. Multiply that number by 3 again
